How do I make an appointment?
Send me an email or call directly to schedule a tutoring appointment. Every new client receives a 30-minute phone consultation in which we’ll discuss your strengths and areas for improvement, general experience in and attitude toward school, and what you hope to accomplish by working together. I won’t waste your time if we’re not a good fit; an initial phone conversation is a great opportunity to get a sense of how we can collaborate.
Will our sessions and communications be confidential?
In accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), you can be assured of complete confidentiality of all material/matters discussed either in session, via phone/email/text, or otherwise.
What should I bring to a tutoring session?
If you’re struggling with a specific assignment or subject area, come prepared to discuss it. Any directions, rubrics, samples, or other explanatory materials will help guide our sessions to ensure we’re making optimal use of our time.
Will I earn better grades by working with you?
While I am committed to helping you gain the skills you need to be a successful student, I cannot guarantee your grades. Ultimately, assignment evaluations are at your teachers’ discretion.
Can you talk to my teacher for me?
I do not communicate directly with teachers, and I never disclose your personal information to third parties.
How and when do I pay for tutoring?
I accept cash or check for in-person tutoring, to be paid either per session or weekly depending on your preference. For online tutoring, payment is due via PayPal within 48 hours of each session. Payment terms and conditions, including cancellation policies, are outlined in full in my tutoring contracts.
